Abstrakt

W artykule ukazane zostały związki między skandynawskimi cechami kultury, naukowymi badaniami praktyk retorycznych oraz rosnącym ostatnio zainteresowaniem metodami analizy audytorium. Skandynawia ma długą tradycję retoryki praktycznej, a zgodnie z narzędziem porównywania kultur opracowanym przez Geerta Hofstedego, charakteryzuje się egalitaryzmem, wysokim poziomem zaufania, niskimi wynikami w zakresie dystansu władzy i męskości. Odzwierciedleniem tego, jak sugeruję, jest zainteresowaniecodziennymi, praktycznymi funkcjami retoryki, co skłania do badań nad audytorium.
