Artykuł rozwija koncepcję autoetnografii odzwierzęcej jako postantropocentrycznej praktyki pisania uwzględniającej relacje międzygatunkowe. Punktem wyjścia jest doświadczenie komunikacji z kotką Salomeą, które staje się impulsem do refleksji nad możliwością włączania nie-ludzkich głosów do tekstu akademickiego. W dialogu z posthumanizmem, animal studies oraz pracami Érica Barataya, Donny Haraway i Diane Davis autor analizuje problem reprezentacji zwierząt oraz granice ludzkiego poznania i języka. Artykuł argumentuje, że post-ludzkie pisanie nie polega na przejmowaniu perspektywy zwierzęcia, lecz na rozwijaniu form pisarskich zdolnych do uwzględniania relacyjnego i ucieleśnionego charakteru komunikacji międzygatunkowej. Autoetnografia odzwierzęca zostaje przedstawiona jako forma pisania odpowiadającego, zakorzenionego w spotkaniu z pozaludzkim Innym, które otwiera możliwość etycznej i metodologicznej transformacji praktyk akademickich.
